Happy hour is even happier with a frosty margarita in one hand and empanada in the other. That’s probably why Banditos Tacos is such a popular happy hour haunt. Every weekday from 3 to 6 p.m., the taqueria’s signature margaritas are $3 off, as are the handcrafted empanadas—which come stuffed with your choice of chorizo and jalapenos or barbacoa beef and chihuahua cheese.

Of course, don’t be surprised if you enjoy happy hour so much that you decide to stay for dinner. That’s when the delicious fun really begins with Banditos’ signature tacos. If you like your food with a little heat, try the dynamite fish tacos with sweet chili slaw and chipotle mayo or the Nashville hot fried chicken tacos drizzled with hot sauce. Prefer milder fare? The skirt steak tacos are dressed simply with cilantro slaw, pico, and queso, while the pork belly tacos feature mango-tomatillo slaw and Ditos’ signature ranch. The kitchen also crafts more traditional tacos (think chicken tinga and carnitas), as well as burritos and burrito bowls. For a lighter option, build a burrito bowl with a base of cauliflower rice.
